A sculptural imagining of the ocean’s charming life forms. The Assiba SP 6 Pendant from Vistosi creates a sense of awe when turned on or with natural light passing through its faceted surfaces and wavy forms. Designer Mauro Olivieri approaches each piece with a process of removing to achieve a primary form that resonates at any time of day. Here, Olivieri creates shapes that amplify light and showcase the skilled hand of the Venetian glassblower that created it. Fixed to a sleek frame, cylindrical shades curve gently outwards as if moved by the ocean’s current. Clean light flows through the glass to create a spacious down glow and festive image full of diamond-shaped highlights.
